Dell adding another feather to its cap by launching ultrabook in Indian market, on first look it can easily be mistaken as Mac air book. Having sharp edges and trendy design made to look sleek and compatible, ultrabook weighs 1.36Kg and is equipped with CD Drive, webcam, intel processor. Dell also offering its trade mark accident warranty for 3Yr, against break and drop.
However its closest competitor Apple’s MacBook Air is priced in the Rs 60,000 range, much below the Dell Ultrabook available for Rs 79,900. “We hope the Ultrabook gives consumers the best of both the worlds of (laptop and tablets). As the demand of the product goes up, we expect that the prices will come in line with competitors,” said Ms Debjani Ghosh, Managing Director, Sales and Marketing Group, Intel South Asia.
The Ultraboook was also showcased at the CES 2012 and was awarded the “best new Ultrabook.”
